Age
13 Years to 45 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Study Group: 1. patients provided their written and informed consent. 2. patients were between 13-45 years old; 3. patients with a DSM-IV clinical criteria for Schizophrenic episode and Depression episode; 4. right-handed; 5. patients who are experiencing their first depressive and Schizophrenic episode and did not use the antipsychotic drug. Control Group: 1. provided their written and informed consent. 2. between 13-45 years old; 3. healthy; 4. right-handed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if they fell into any of the following categories: 1. Pregnant and lactating women; 2. had a history of epileptic; 3. had severe nerve, heart, liver, kidney, endocrine, blood system diseases; 4. Body metal patients; 5. had organic mental disorders and mental retardation; 6. alcohol abusers; 7. drug abusers.
