Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients will sign a written informed consent form.Patients aged 65-79 years old. General anesthesia for elective non-cardiac surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists risk classification>3; Patients with a history of symptomatic cerebrovascular disease (eg, stroke with a residual deficit) or psychiatric illness; alcoholism (>2 drinks/day); patients are unable to read or listen and thus unable to complete the cognitive testing or who score 6h.
