Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with AIS indicated for posterior spine surgery with autogenous iliac crest bone grafting and non-AIS patients indicated for iliac bone harvesting were recruited.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with metabolic bone disease, growth disturbance (e.g., osteochondrodysplasia and congenital heart disease) were excluded. Patients with previous spine or pelvic surgery were also excluded.
