18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: from 18 to 65; 2. Right handedness; 3. Depression was diagnosed according to the diagnostic criteria of DSM-IV; 4. HAMD-17 scors>=18; 5. All people in both groups voluntarily joined this study with informed consents.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Depression caused by organic diseases or drugs; 2. Diagnosed with alcoholic/drug dependence, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder or other mental disorders according to DSM-IV; 3. Been treated by ECT/MECT, antipsychotic or antidepressant, immune inhibitors and immune strengthening agent in the last 6 months; 4. Suffered from severe physical diseases; 5. Women in pregnancy or lactation; 6. Patients with severe suicide attempt or impulsive aggression; 7. Contraindications to Magnetic resonance imaging scans.
