Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Male and female aged 18 years old and over; 2. Able and willing to provide signed informed consent; 3. With central vestibular vertigo/dizziness onset; 4. With or without local neurological signs; 5. No tinnitus, ear nausea, hearing loss or other ear symptoms; tuning fork tests are negative and Dix-Hallpike examination are negative; 6. No responsive lesions found in MRI/MRA,or clinical exclusion of TIA; 7. Clinical diagnosis prone to posterior circulation ischemia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. With severe diseases in heart,liver, kidney, or severe anemia; 2. With peripheral vestibular vertigo such as BPPV and Meniere's Disease, or with vertigo caused by autonomic nerve dysfunction; 3. With other none-vascular vertigo caused by cerebellopontine angle inflammation or tumor, multiple sclerosis, cancer around the fourth ventricle; 4. Ever taking aminoglycoside antibiotics, antispasmodic drugs (eg phenytoin), antidepressants, antihypertensive drugs, barbiturates, cocaine, furosemide, nitroglycerin, quinine , salicylates, sedatives/sleeping pills and other drugs that may cause vertigo/dizziness; Within 4 weeks prior to the last vertigo/dizziness onset; 5. With severe infection in eyes, ears, mouth, nasopharynx or lung within two weeks prior to the onset of serious infection; 6. Ppatients with consciousness, sensory aphasia, severe motor aphasia, mental retardation or mental symptoms; 7. For the first PWI,more than one week has passed since the last vertigo/dizziness onset; 8. Patients develops new cerebrovascular diseases, brain trauma, encephalitis or degenerative neurological diseases before the second PWI is undertaken.
