Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The patients were selected according to the WHO diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes and the Mogensen staging criteria for diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with diabetic nephropathy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Any type 1 diabetes, with autoimmune diseases, acute and chronic inflammatory or infectious diseases, trauma, cancer, dialysis or renal transplant recipients
