Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The schizophrenia patients were diagnosed according to DSM-IV criteria; 2. All patients had less than ten-year course of schizophrenia and were able to understand and comply with the requirements of the study; 3. All Patients agreed to participate in the research, and sign the informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. catatonic schizophrenia; 2. mental retardation; 3. drug/alcohol abuse within four weeks prior to enrollment; 4. history of neurological disorder or organic brain disease; 5. history of head injury with loss of consciousness; 6. presence of a co-morbid psychiatric disorder.
