Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: For patients: 1) DSM-V diagnosis of schizophrenia; 2) Drug dosage kept constant for > 1 month; 3) A total score of Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) ranged from 60 to 70; 4) Considered clinically stable with good cognitive function and speech intelligiblity by their treating physician; 5)Aged 18~50 years. For healthy controls' age and gender same as patients group.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: For patients: 1) concomitant severe medical or neurological illness, comorbidity of any other DSM-V Axis I disorder, past or current substance abuse, high suicidal risk; 2) accepting the modified electric compulsive therapy in the past 6 months; 3) contraindications of MRI scanning (e.g., implanted metal objects, claustrophobia). For healthy controls: with a history of psychiatric illness or positive family history for schizophrenia or current concomitant physical pain.
