Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Surgery under general anesthesia less than 3 hours duration. 2. Non smoker. 3. American Society of Anesthesiologists ASA Grade I or II.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient taking an opioid regularly. 2. Patient receiving radiation or chemotherapy. 3. Patients having recurrent or persistent nausea. 4. Patients with renal impairment where serum creatinine is greater than 1.6 mg dl or hepatic impairment where liver enzymes are more than twice the normal value. 5. History of allergy to 5HT3 receptor antagonist. 6. Patients having diabetes or cardiovascular disease or respiratory disease or renal disease.
