Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged more than 18 years admitted with sepsis as defined by the Sepsis 3 criteria

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Age younger than 18 years 2 Survival time of less than 24hours 3 Pregnancy 4 Suspected or confirmed obstructive renal failure and Known renal artery stenosis and Suspected intra abdominal hypertension 5 Additionally we will not include patients recovering from previously diagnosed aki at the time of inclusion 6 Those with chronic kidney disease with a basal creatinine clearance value of lower than 30 ml per min

Development of KDIGO Stage 3 Acute Kidney Injury within 7 days of ICU admission as predicted by 1 Renal Resistive Index 2 Semi quantitative Power Doppler Ultrasound score This will be evaluated in terms of 1 Area Under the Curve 2 Sensitivity and specificity 3 Optimal cut-off values Timepoint: Within 7 days of ICU admission
