Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects voluntarily wiling to participate and sign the written informed consent. A. Positive apprehension test. B. Patello-femoral joint crepitus elicited on palpation when the knee is flexed from extension. C. Retro-patellar aching pain after activities such as climbing and descending more than 10 stairs, hopping, running, squatting, and prolonged sitting. D.Patella facet sensitivity on palpation. E. Retro patellar pain for a minimum of ten days but not longer than forty eight months. F. Distal thigh girth of the uninvolved leg should be more than one point six three five cms, than the involved thigh.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Symptoms present for less than 1 month. A. Self-reported other knee pathology, such as cartilage injury or ligamentous or meniscal tear. B. A history of knee surgery within the last year. C. A self- reported history of patellar dislocation or subluxation in the last six months. D. Any other concurrent significant injury or trauma affecting the lower extremity. E. Patellar tendinitis or bursitis in last six months. F. Knee pain or joint effusion due to Rheumatic diseases.
