Intervention1: Methotrexate and Potassium chloride: Methotrexate given 1mg per kg body weight or 50mg per meter square body surface area, intra-muscular in the gluteal region. Potassium Chloride 1-2 m

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: USG suggestive of 1st trimester scar ectopic pregnancy less than 10 weeks hemodynamically stable history of at least one previous caesarean section gestational sac less than 2.5 cm myometrium thickness less than 2 mm between pregnancy and bladder ultrasound TVS 5 to 12 MHz confirmation of CSP.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Hemodynamically unstable patients requiring immediate surgery, patient having medical surgical disease, patient unfit to receive methotrexate, patients unwilling to participate in follow-up.

Success rate assessment in achieving complete resolution (defined as serum beta-hCG returning to undetectable level) in early CSP less than 10 weeks using combined systemic methotrexate along with fetal intra-sac potassium chloride (to abolish fetal cardiac activity- USG confirmation post insertion in live CSPTimepoint: 3 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Monitoring complications like severe hemorrhage (blood loss more than 1000ml), methotrexate side effects, uterine rupture and need of surgical intervention.Timepoint: 3 months;Measuring mean time required for beta-hCG to normalize and for the sonographic disappearance of gestation sac/massTimepoint: 3 months;Assessing treatment s ability to resolve pregnancy while keeping the uterus intact for future conceptionTimepoint: 3 months
