Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ASA Grade 1 and 2, patients aged 18 to 75 years posted for elective GI or Gynecological or urological or cardiac surgeries under general anaesthesia. The anticipated duration of surgery should be less than 3 hours and uneventful.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with severe infection, liver or kidney disease, congenital disorder, blunt or penetrating injury abdomen, scoliosis or kyphosis, obesity or underweight. Patients undergoing surgeries like neurosurgery, oncosurgery, cancer patients, patients who are already taking opioids in any form, pregnant patients and patients with neurological illnesses. Any major complication during surgery such as massive blood loss, the requirement of inotropic support, duration extending to more than 3 hours and requirement of mechanical ventilation during the postoperative period will be excluded.
