Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 Individuals aged 65 to 75 years of either gender. 2 Diagnosed cases of chronic ischemic stroke with a duration of greater than 6 months since onset . 3 Presence of unilateral lower limb involvement affecting gait and functional mobility . 4 Ability to ambulate at least 10 meters with or without an assistive device . 5 Medically stable individuals who are cleared by a physician to participate in resistance training 6 Individuals with adequate cognitive ability to understand and follow verbal instructions 7 Willingness to participate in the study and provide written informed consent .
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of hemorrhagic stroke or recurrent stroke. 2. Presence of severe cardiovascular disorders including uncontrolled hypertension recent myocardial infarction or unstable angina. 3. Known peripheral vascular disease deep vein thrombosis or other contraindications to blood flow restriction training. 4. Severe musculoskeletal disorders of the lower limb, such as recent fractures severe osteoarthritis or joint replacement surgery. 5. Severe lower limb spasticity Modified Ashworth Scale greater than 3. 6. Severe balance impairment or high risk of falls preventing safe participation in resistance training. 7. Presence of other neurological disorders affecting lower limb function example Parkinson disease multiple sclerosis. 8. Significant cognitive impairment aphasia or communication difficulties limiting ability to follow instructions. 9. Participation in any structured lower limb strengthening or BFRT program
