Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients who present within 48 hours of injury with a GCS score of 4 to 12
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Brain stem injury GCS of 3 or 2T and or Fixed dialated pupils at admission GCS on arrival to TICU is more than or equal to 13 Anisochoria Neck soft tissue injury Cervical spine injuries are either clinically and radiologically proven Patient on cervical collar With the history of cerebrovascular disease or other brain disorders Basal skull fracture combined with evidence of cerebrospinal fluid leakage Pregnant or lactating women Polytrauma with shock and hypotension at presentation Any contraindication to regional analgesia, coagulopathy, Platelet count less than 50,000 and INR greater than 1.5 Poor or absent scanning window on transcranial doppler
