Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged 4-9 years. Indicated for pulpectomy in atleast one primary teeth. Restorable teeth with two-thirds of root length intact.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Teeth with excessive mobility, non-restorability, or pathological root resorption involving the permanent tooth bud. Teeth with internal or external resorption beyond repair. Presence of periapical abscess with sinus tract. Children with systemic diseases or immunocompromised conditions. History of allergic reaction to sodium hypochlorite.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of sodium hypochlorite as a root canal irrigant in primary teeth pulpectomy.Timepoint: At baseline and immediately after irrigation.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the antimicrobial efficacy of diode laser-assisted irrigation in disinfection of the root canal system in primary teeth.Timepoint: At baseline & immediately after irrigation.;To compare the reduction in microbial load achieved by sodium hypochlorite & diode laser-assisted irrigation techniques.Timepoint: At baseline & immediately after irrigation.
