Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age group 35-55 years Subjects with stage 2 periodontitis Subjects who are willing to give consent for the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. H/o medication which affect the periodontium in the last 3 months. 2. Presence of systemic conditions, such as type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus, respiratory diseases, renal diseases, liver diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, allergies, advanced malignancies, and HIV infection. 3. Periodontal treatment in last 6 months 4. Pregnant (or) lactating women 5. Any form of tobacco use

MeasureTime frame
Data will be obtained by recording plaque index,gingival index,probing pocket depth and clinical attachment level. Saliva samples will be collected for estimation of fetuin-A levels. Data is recorded pre and post scaling and root planing.Timepoint: Time points: Pretreatment Posttreatment after 3 months
