Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients recently diagnosed with schizophrenia as per a DSM-5 diagnostic criteria , belonging to the age group of 18 and 45 years, married or cohabiting with the same partner for at least six months, and stable on antipsychotic medication for at least four weeks prior to enrolment in the study with willingness to participate in all study procedures along with their partners.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with organic disorder , having acute psychiatric illness with actively suicidal . Partners with acute psychiatric illness.

1. To assess marital satisfaction among patients and their partners. 2. To assess sexual intimacy among patients and their partners in patients recently diagnosed with schizophrenia. Timepoint: at the baseline , 3 weeks and at the end of 3 months .
