Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus based on ADA criteria, residing in rural areas for at least the past 5 years, and providing informed written consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Type 1 diabetes mellitus, gestational diabetes, known hemoglobinopathies or anemia, acute infection or recent hospitalization-within the last 4 weeks, incomplete clinical records, refusal of informed consent
