Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients having at least three signs and symptoms of metabolic syndrome as per diagnostic criteria Patients willing to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients currently on medication for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus DM2 OR hypertension OR dyslipidaemia Patients with Endocrinal Obesity Patients with acute or chronic infections eg tuberculosis HIV hepatitis autoimmune or inflammatory disorders, malignancy or recent febrile illness within 4 weeks Patients who have received systemic corticosteroids for more than 7 days within the past 4 weeks immunosuppressive therapy within the past 8 weeks or regular use of non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs NSAIDs within the past 2 weeks Pregnant and lactating women Patients who are unable to comply with the study protocol
