Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ASA I and II scheduled for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal. Patients on chronic opioids. Duration of surgery exceeding 90 minutes Any intraoperative complication involving organs other than the gall bladder (bile duct, liver, diaphragm, stomach, etc.) Conversion from laparoscopic to open cholecystectomy Intraoperative hemodynamic instability requiring vasopressor support for more than 10 minutes Acute cholecystitis, prior biliary surgery, opioid allergy. Patients with chronic inflammatory disease, opioid dependence, hepatic or renal dysfunction, or pregnancy.
