Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults above 18yrs who undergo elective laparoscopic procedures under general anesthesia and ASA physical status I and II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Unanticipated and anticipated difficult airway Pre existing laryngeal injury or disease Patients histories of surgical interventions that risk injury to the recurrent laryngeal nerve Patient populations with non focal, neurological impairments that may impact voice and swallowing function, thus making it difficult to identify isolated post extubation laryngeal injury
