Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Non traumatic bulbar urethral stricture planned for BMG urethroplasty. 2 The non-stricture group comprises patients with symptoms other than any voiding difficulties, such as renal mass, pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction, bladder tumor, renal/ureteric calculus, vasectomy, phimosis, hematospermia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients having any structural congenital defects, known pathology of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, testosterone replacement therapy or castration, suspected primary testicular failure, testicular tumor, androgen-secreting tumors, pelvic irradiation for malignancy, history of steroid use. 2 Urethral strictures secondary to pelvic fracture or hypospadias. 3 Patients with associated comorbidity like diabetes, hypertension, obesity, thyroid disorder, chronic liver failure, chronic renal disease and those with the habit of tobacco chewing and smoking. 4 Patients who did not want to be a part of the study will be excluded as well.
