Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 9-14 years presenting with a deep carious lesion in permanent mature teeth (molars and premolars) accompanied by spontaneous pain are clinically and radiographically diagnosed to have symptomatic irreversible pulpitis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Medically compromised patients. Teeth with gross decay, necrotic pulp, resorption, and subgingival caries. Uncontrolled bleeding following pulpotomy will also be excluded. Unhealthy appearance of the pulp tissue on visual examination under magnification after coronal pulp amputation. Patients who did not respond to the inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) after local anaesthesia will be excluded.
