Intervention1: Shot Blocker device applied for 10 seconds before spinal needle insertion.: After skin preparation, the Shot Blocker device will be firmly pressed over the intended spinal puncture site

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I and II. Full-term primigravida. Scheduled for elective or emergency LSCS under spinal anaesthesia. No previous spinal anaesthesia or lumbar puncture. Able and willing to provide written informed consent. No technically difficult spinal block

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Refusal to participate. Allergy to ethyl chloride. Previous spinal anaesthesia. Neurological disease. ASA III or above.

Needle-associated pain measured using the 10 point Visual Analogue ScaleTimepoint: Needle-associated pain measured using the 10 point Visual Analogue Scale will be measured immediately within 1 minutes

MeasureTime frame
Patient satisfaction using 3-point Likert scale. Number of spinal attempts. Adverse reactions.Timepoint: Immediately after completion of spinal anaesthesia
