Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 65 years and above. Patients admitted to G-block CC icu. Patients diagnosed with suspected or confirmed infectious diseases based on clinical features and microbiological evidence. Patients with available culture reports and clinical data. Patients from whom appropriate cultures have been sent includes both positive or negative results. Patients who were on mechanical ventilation and other oxygen delivery devices, room air were included Patients with surgical history were included.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients aged below 65 years. Patients admitted to icu with non infectious causes without evidence of infection based on clinical features and microbiological evidence. Patients with discharged or discharged against medical advice or death within day 7 in icu without a evidence of organism isolated.
