Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients will include medically stable adults with a clinically and radiologically confirmed first ever acute stroke within four weeks of onset and presenting with hemiparesis and willing to give conset to participate in the study. Eligible patients must have a Brunnstrom recovery stage of less than or equal to two in the proximal and distal regions of the affected upper extremity and a Montreal Cognitive Assessment score of greater than or equal to eighteen and less than twenty five and Fugl Meyer Assessment Upper Extremity score of less than or equal to sixty out of sixty six and a Modified Ashworth Scale score of less than or equal to one plus

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients will be excluded if they have recurrent stroke or are unwilling to give consent or have severe receptive or global aphasia or severe visual neglect or cognitive impairement or unstable medical conditions or major psychiatric illness or severe orthopaedic or neuromuscular disorders
