Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients referred to the Department of Palliative Medicine will be categorised into two groups Group 1 Early-stage HNC Stage I to II Group 2 Advanced-stage HNC Stage III to IV PHQ9 score more than 5 and less than 20 at screening ECOG performance status 1 to 3 Ability to understand and respond in Hindi or English and Willingness to provide written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with unstable medical conditions requiring emergency intervention Inability to complete the study questionnaires. Patients initiated on antidepressant treatment (drugs or therapy or both) within the past 4 weeks will be excluded.
