Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients aged greater than 18 years admitted to the MICU. 2. Patients undergoing ABG testing at admission and during the hospital stay.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with Do Not Resuscitate status. 2. Patients discharged against medical advice. 3. Pregnant women. 4. Incomplete arterial blood gas data. 5. Patients receiving end of life care support.

1. Mortality rate in the intensive care unit. 2. Duration of mechanical ventilation. 3. Length of intensive care unit stay. 4. Development of other complications such as multi organ failure.
