Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged more than 18 years presenting with suspected with QSOFA more than or equal to 2 or confirmed infections like urinary tract infection, pneumonia, skin and soft tissue infections, bloodstream infections etc

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients younger than 18 years. Patients unwilling to participate or provide informed consent. Patients from whom appropriate microbiological specimens cannot be obtained. Patients unwilling or unable to provide proper history as regards to last 48 hours drugs usage

To determine the prevalence of antimicrobial-resistant bacterial infections among ED patientsTimepoint: At enrollment,with assessment after availability of culture and antimicrobial susceptibility test results

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To identify the most common resistant pathogens.Timepoint: During index hospitalization.;To identify demographic, clinical, and behavioural risk factors associated with resistant infections.Timepoint: During the study period;To evaluate the clinical outcomes ICU admission, ICU length of stay, hospital length of stay, 30-day mortality, and 30-day readmission associated with resistant infections. Timepoint: during the study period
