Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged 7 to 15 years. Male and female children Children diagnosed with Molar Incisor Hypomineralization according to the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry diagnostic criteria Presence of at least one first permanent molar affected by Molar Incisor Hypomineralization. Children willing to undergo clinical examination and saliva sample collection Written informed consent obtained from the parent or legal guardian Assent obtained from the participating child

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with developmental enamel defects other than Molar Incisor Hypomineralization such as amelogenesis imperfecta dental fluorosis or enamel hypoplasia. Children with systemic diseases or medical conditions known to alter salivary composition or pain perception. Children with acute odontogenic infections unrelated to Molar Incisor Hypomineralization. Children who have received antibiotics corticosteroids or anti inflammatory medications within the preceding four weeks. Children currently undergoing orthodontic treatment involving the affected first permanent molars. Children with cognitive or behavioural conditions that prevent reliable pain assessment or saliva sample collection. Children whose parents or legal guardians do not provide written informed consent or who do not provide assent to participate in the study.
