Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the correlation between National Early Warning score 2 and Lactate Albumin Ratio in adult patients with sepsis & septic shock at the time of admission to intensive care unit or emergency department. Timepoint: Baseline

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the sensitivity & specificity of National Early Warning score 2 and Lactate Albumin Ratio for 28 day mortality.Timepoint: 28 days after admission to intensive care unit or emergency department. ;To assess if a combined National Early Warning score 2 and Lactate Albumin model improves prediction of sepsis and septic shock.Timepoint: At the time of admission to intensive care unit or emergency department.
