Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed as knee osteoarthritis according to ACR criteria and Ayurveda classical texts Patients of either sex aged between 30 to 70 years BMI less than or equal to 29.9 kg per m2 Xray changes in knee joint Grade 1,2 and 3 Patients fit for Brimhana and Shamana Snehapana

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients below 30 years and above 70 years of age. BMI more or equal to 30 kg per m2 Patients diagnosed with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, hypertension or any other chronic illness. Patients suffering from Gout, Rheumatoid arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematous, Bone TB, Psoriatic arthritis and other serious systemic disorders. Pregnant women and lactating mother Xray changes in knee joint Grade 4. Patients unfit for Brimhana and Shamana Snehapana.
