Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All adult patients requiring endotracheal intubation in the Emergency Department, Narayana Health City, 2. Patient or legally appointed representative willing to provide consent (or deferred consent applicable for emergency situations).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient or legally appointed representative refusal to participate, 2. Polytrauma patients with cervical collar in situ, 3. Anticipated difficult airway: significant anatomical abnormalities, tumors, or previous airway surgery, 4. Severe obesity: BMI greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2 (impairs ultrasound visualization)

Time to confirmation of correct endotracheal tube placement using upper airway ultrasonography compared to waveform capnography. stopwatch timing from announcement of tube is in to confirmation by each modality recorded by a dedicated third observer.Timepoint: Immediately post intubation - At time Zero, within 60 seconds of endotracheal tube insertion.
