Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with Stage III periodontitis presenting with horizontal suprabony bone loss. Presence of periodontal pockets with Probing Pocket Depth PPD of 5.4 mm or more after completion of Phase I periodontal therapy. Radiographic evidence of horizontal bone loss confirmed using standardized intraoral periapical radiographs. Plaque Index of 1 or less before surgical intervention. Systemically healthy patients or patients with controlled Type 2 diabetes mellitus with HbA1c of 7.5 percent or less. Patients willing to participate in the study and able to provide written informed consent. Patients having at least one or two periodontal sites fulfilling the study criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus with HbA1c greater than 7.5 percent. Smokers or tobacco users. Pregnant or lactating women. Patients with systemic diseases or conditions known to affect periodontal healing, such as immunocompromised conditions or bleeding disorders. Teeth with Grade III mobility. Patients with poor oral hygiene compliance. Patients unwilling to participate or unable to attend follow up visits.
