Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Self-reported or diagnosed with probable sleep bruxism. (according to the grading system by Lobbezoo et al) 2) with or without pain in masseter and temporalis muscle 3) all teeth present sans third molars 4) no contraindications for splint use like active oral infection or severe TMJ disorder 5) willingness to participate and ability to provide informed consent 6) clinical signs of dental wear (tooth wear limited to enamel) 7) no neurological disorder 8) no active orthodontics nor removable prostheses 9) confirmation of stress by various scales

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No habits related tobacco consumption Severe or irreversible TMJ disorder No clinical or radiographical symptom of Temporomandibular disorder No occlusal interference No tooth sensitivity due to occlusal disease Participants who have previously used splints Pregnant women
