Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18-65 2. ASA I-II 3. Elective open laparotomy cases requiring subcostal incisions under general anaesthesia + TEA with duration greater than 2 hours

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Non-consenting patients 2. Pre-existing significant lung disease in last 4 weeks 3. COPD, Bronchial asthma, ILD 4. BMI more than 35kg/m2 5. Hemodynamic instability 6. Contraindications to epidural anaesthesia 7. Failed Thoracic epidural anaesthesia
