Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA one and two, patients posted for elective infraumbilical surgery under spinal anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients allergic to local anesthetic, patient refusal, BMI more than 30, coaugulopathy, local site infection

To compare duration of sensory and motor block between intrathecal Ropivacaine versus Ropivacaine with Dexmedetomidine in patients posted for infraumbilical surgeries under spinal AnesthesiaTimepoint: Time of giving spinal block will be taken as base line,Time of onset of sensory and motor block will be noted,then at 30 mins, 60mins, 90mins, 120mins, 3hrs,4hrs, 5hrs,6hrs post operatively

to assess post operative duration of analgesia & to assess perioperative haemodynamic changesTimepoint: Time of giving spinal anesthesia will be considered as base line,then analgesia will be assessed at 30 mins, 60mins, 90mins, 120mins, 3hrs,4hrs,5hrs & 6 hrs post operatively. to assess haemodynamic changes base line measurement will be noted then at 15 mins,30mins, 45mins, 60mins, 90 mins, 120mins, 3hrs,4hrs,5hrs & at 6hrs post operatively
