Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients over the age of 18 years admitted in Christian medical college, Ranipet. Clinically diagnosed as pneumonia with radiological evidence of new onset infiltrates in imaging. Patients with known immunocompromised state who are admitted with pneumonia.This includes: Hematopoietic cell transplant within 1 year or requiring treatment for graft- vs-host disease Hematologic malignant neoplasm requiring treatment B-cell aplasia with absolute CD19 B-cell count less than 20 cells/mm within 6 months. Solid organ transplant Solid tumor on treatment HIV co infection Primary immunodeficiency with low immunoglobulins or B/T cell defects Autoimmune disease requiring corticosteroids Liver cirrhosis Chronic kidney disease
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Known radiological mimics of pneumonia Ventilator associated pneumonia Patient who are not willing to participate. Patients who are on IL6 inhibitors.
