Inclusion criteria: Children fulfilling the description of Karshya described in our Ayurvedic texts Weight of child less than expected Weight for age Parents willing to give written consent for participation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: severe malnutrition Patients having systemic disorders congenital anomalies HIV Tuberculosis Neurological disorders endocrine disorders Genetic disorders Lactose intolerance Children with fever and recurrent infections
