Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All stable preterm (less than 37 weeks) neonates requiring PRBC transfusion at level III/IV NICU as per unit protocol

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Major congenital anomalies 2. Neonates requiring major cardiorespiratory support 3. Severe IVH (Grade III IV), or 4. Unstable infants where NIRS placement is not feasible.

To evaluate cerebral oxygenation before and after PRBC transfusion in preterm infants using NIRS. Timepoint: 6 weeks
