Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 70 patients of 18-60 years of age, of either sex, American society of Anaesthesiologists physical status I and II, scheduled to undergo split skin grafting with graft size between 100cm2 - 200cm2 under general anaesthesia will be enrolled for this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Unwillingness to participate in this study Known hypersensitivity or allergy to local anaesthetics Pre-existing bleeding disorders Infection at the site of the block Pre-existing peripheral neuropathy

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Pain assessment will be done by a junior resident who will be blinded to the groups, using VAS where 0 denotes no pain and 10 denotes intolerable pain.Timepoint: 30min, 1hr, 2hr, 6hr, 12hr, 24hr

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Patient satisfaction wil be assessed via the Likert scale based questionnaire.Timepoint: 30min, 1hr, 2hr, 6hr, 12hr, 24hr
