Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Patients clinically diagnosed / confirmed by Inspections as having Parikartika (fissure- in-ano) 2) Patient age group between 18-60 years. 3) Patients willing to give consent and able to participate in the study for 21 days. 4) Patients irrespective of gender, religion, their caste, marital status and economic class will be included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients with chronic anal fissure duration more than 6weeks and presence of sentinel tag. 2 Patients having Parikartika secondary to any other disease will be excluded like Crohn disease, Ulcerative colitis. 3.Patients with uncontrolled systemic disease as like diabetes and Hypertension will be excluded. 4 Patients with infectious diseases like HIV will be excluded. 5.Patients with other coexisting anal pathologies like hemorrhoid, fistula-in-Ano, prolapsed rectum, rectal polyp will be excluded. 6.Patients with infectious diseases like syphilis will be excluded. 7.Patients with infectious diseases like hepatitis will be excluded.

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the effect of local application of Karpoor Ghrita on symptoms like burning pain at anal verge and P/R bleeding.Timepoint: Assessment of Burning pain,anal spasm,length of fissure, pr bleeding and constipation on 0th, 7th,14th &21st day

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To compare the effect of local application of Karpoor Ghrita with Jatyadi ghrita in Parikartika (Acute fissure-in-ano). 2.To assess any adverse effects associated with the local application of Karpoor Ghrita in the management of Parikartika (Acute fissure -in-ano) With Special Reference to Acute Fissure In Ano.Timepoint: Assessment and follow up on 0th, 7th,14th & 21st day
