Interventions

Intervention1: 1. Pretest - baseline attempt(s) with the IVL device
2. Training block - standardized deliberate practice with the IVL device
3. Posttest - the timed assessment (same as pretest rules) repeated with the IVL device.: Pretest: 1. Max attempts: 3
2. Max attempt time: 120 seconds
3. No coaching during timed attempts
4. Video recording active. Training block (per period): 1. Duration: 30 to 45 minutes
2. Demonstration: 5 minutes
3. Deliberate practice: 8 to 12 supervised intubations
4. Feedback: standardized one keep / one change / one repeat format. Posttest: the timed assessment (same as pretest rules) repeated with the IVL device. Sequence B: Period 1 (IVL) followed by washo

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: OTT less than 10 years experience. Novice to advanced airway devices. No structured laryngoscopy or intubation manikin exposure within the preceding 24 months. No prior completion of a formal video laryngoscopy course or certification at any time. Written consent including consent for video recording.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Prior airway training course with VL/DL certification. Refusal of video recording. Physical inability to perform simulation laryngoscopy.

First attempt success within one hundred twenty seconds. Overall success within three attempts. Intubation time. POGO score, percent of glottic opening visible on video laryngoscopy, blinded rating from video recording clip. Number of attempts for successful intubation. Optimization maneuvers like blade repositioning, head neck repositioning. Esophageal intubation. Dental compression events from video record clip. OSATS checklist score & Global Rating Scale.Timepoint: Day 1 posttest - after training with the first allocated device. Day 8 posttest - after 7 days washout & crossover, after training with the alternate device.
