Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 20-60 years of age Mandibular fractures involving symphysis, parasymphysis, body, angle, ramus and subcondylar region Systemically healthy patients

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Medically compromised patients. Patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Patients with any bony pathologic features, fractures that did not require open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) were excluded from the present study.

MeasureTime frame
On the study group patients, LIPUS therapy (1.5 MHz, 30 mW/cm2) will be performed on 4, 8, 14, and 20 days postoperatively, for 20 minutes using an ultrasound unit. Postoperative examinations will be performed on 5 days to assess pain. Fracture healing will be assessed using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) performed at 4, and 12 weeks postoperatively. Timepoint: On the study group patients, LIPUS therapy (1.5 MHz, 30 mW/cm2) will be performed on 4, 8, 14, and 20 days postoperatively, for 20 minutes using an ultrasound unit.
