Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Participants with classical signs and symptoms of Shalmalikantaka Sadrusha Pidika, Ruja, Ghana Pidika, Avastha- Kapha Pradhan Lakshan Grasta Yuvan pidika will be selected. 2.Patient of Mild to Moderate Acne will be considered in study 3.Participants between the age group 18-30 years of either sex. 4.Patients ready to give consent for participation in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients having Acne due to systemic disorder like Acromegaly, Androgen secreting tumors, Diabetes mellitus, Cushing syndrome. 2.Patients on medications like antitubercular drugs, anticonvulsants, corticosteroids, lithium, Androgenic steroids, Hormonal therapy. 3.Patients contraindicated for Abhyanga as per classical texts. 4.Pregnant and Lactating women will not be included in the study

GAGS is clinical tool for assessing the severity of Acne vulgaris that was first proposed by Doshi et al in 1997. Acne lesions can be divided into the following in terms of increasing severity Comedones Blackheads & Whiteheads Papules are inflamed bumps less than 1cm in size Postules are Papules with a head of pus (pusheads) Nodules/ cysts are Bumps that are 1 cm or Larger in Size Nodules are Solid whereas cyts are Fluid filled Assessment of Deha -Prakriti of patients Vataj- Severe itching dryness blackish discoloration. Pittaj/Raktaj- Redness heat pus formation. Kaphaj- Increased oiliness pus formation. Timepoint: 7 days
