Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 65 years and above undergoing surgery for lower limb trauma. Baseline Confusion Assessment Method (CAM) negative. Written informed consent obtained from patient or legally authorized representative.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Preoperative delirium (baseline CAM positive). Severe dementia or psychiatric illness preventing assessment. Patients managed non-operatively. Communication difficulties including severe deafness or language barriers. Expected hospital stay less than 24 hours. Refusal to participate in the study.
