Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy children aged 4 8 years. Children with primary mandibular molars requiring pulpectomy. Teeth showing clinical signs and symptoms of pulp necrosis. Radiographic criteria: At least 2/3 of the root structure should be intact. Presence of periapical pathology on radiographs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Medically compromised or uncooperative children. Non-restorable teeth. External and or internal root resorption, or perforation; pathologic resorption more than 1/3 of root length. Children who have received antibiotics in the past 2 3 weeks.

Change in Interleukin 8 (IL-8) levels in periradicular fluid and postoperative pain assessed using Visual Analogue Scale (VAS).Timepoint: Baseline, immediately after intervention, and 72 hours postoperatively for IL-8 assessment; Baseline and 72 hours postoperatively for VAS assessment.
