Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All genders 2. Diagnosis of chronic insomnia by the criteria of ICSD-317. 3. A score of 5 or more in the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) 4. Willingness to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient less than 18 years and more than 80 years. 2. A diagnosed case of a sleep disorder other than insomnia. 3. Pregnant or lactating women. 4. Current or past psychological treatment of insomnia within the past 5 years Patient currently on hypnotics and other medications known to alter sleep. Alcohol or drug abuse within past six months. 5. Known cases of Hypothyroidism, Parkinsonism, chorea, epilepsy, dementia. 6. Patients with uncontrolled systemic diseases. 7. Patients of skin diseases like eczema, scabies and psoriasis 8. Unwillingness or inability to comply the requirements of the protocol.
