Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients having spastic hemiparesis of either side having duration of symptoms for a minimum of 3 weeks to 24 weeks 2. Patients between age 18 to 65 years, having either hemorrhagic or ischemic stroke. 3. Hemiparetic patients having Berg balance scale more than 41 4. Mini-Mental State Examination score more than 24

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Visual defects not corrected with ocular devices. 2. Severe cognitive impairments. 3. Hemodynamically unstable patients. 4. Patients with seizure activity in the previous 6 months. 5. Patients with vestibular deficits or vertigo. 6. Patients unable to sit independently without posterior support. 7. Patients with Modified Ashworth Scale for spasticity more than 2. 8. Bilateral stroke patients. 9. Recurrent stroke.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Upper limb functionality of affected upper-limb will be getting better improvement with virtual reality help. Timepoint: 1 month

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement of range of motion of shoulder and elbow joint more with virtual reality use. Timepoint: 1 month;Improvement in functional gains better on combining virtual reality with conventional rehabilitation. Timepoint: 1 month
